By integrating your Constant Contact account, you can pass on leads captured by Guru, buyer data, and sale details in order to segment your contacts in Constant Contact, interacting in a personalized way while monitoring conversions and revenue.
To enable the integration, you need to obtain your credentials in your Constant Contact account; then, set the rules for contact segmentation and map additional sale or subscription fields.

What to do next
Before starting, you need to:
-
Have a Constant Contact account.
-
Be an administrator user or have permission to perform the following actions.
Step 1: Obtain API Credentials
In this step, you will obtain the Client ID and Secret Key credentials in your Constant Contact account.
Steps:
1 - Access your Constant Contact account with username and password.
2 - In the left side menu, click on Settings.
3 - In Constant Contact API, click on API Settings.
4 - Copy and store the Account ID and the Secret Key.
Step 2: Enable Integration with Constant Contact
In this step, you will enter the credentials obtained from Constant Contact into Guru.
The API key/Token will not be available after saving the integration. If you change the API key, it will no longer be valid, requiring you to return to the Constant Contact environment to obtain the key.
This change will bring greater security to your account, making it impossible to view integration data.
Steps:
1 - Access Guru admin with your username and password.
2 - In the side menu, access Settings > Integrations > Autoresponders > Constant Contact.
3 - In the Detail tab, enter:
-
Client ID: your Client ID obtained in step 1 - item 4;
-
Secret Key: your Secret Key obtained in step 1 - item 4;
-
Active: toggle the button to the on position.
4 - Click on Send.
To confirm that the integration is active, you should see a notification in the upper right corner.
What to do next
Once the integration with Constant Contact is active, you must configure the rules for segmenting contacts in Constant Contact and map additional custom fields if desired (optional step).
This configuration is done through:
1 - Mapping Sales Status to Constant Contact;
2 - Sending Custom Data to Constant Contact.
