The subscription variables or fields are placeholders that represent and display subscription attributes in a place outside the subscription detail. In Guru, a variable can be used as:

Placeholder in a message: used to insert personalized content into transactional emails or SMS that you configure.

Field mapping to another tool: used to send sales attributes to other tools such as an autoresponder, for example.
Most variable names are self-descriptive, and their nomenclature describes the context and the attribute name. For example: Subscription -> Code refers to the subscription identification code.
It is worth remembering that when sending, in the message or field mapping, the variable name is replaced by the attribute value, which in the example above could be 123456.
