Products

Products are the goods or services you sell: whether it's a digital product (online course, software, application, podcast, streaming service, premium content, etc.) or physical product (books, cosmetics, food supplements, etc.).

To sell your product through Guru, you need to enter basic information such as code, product type, name, and illustrative image.

When adding1 the product, you must link the payment processor2 (marketplace) that you intend to use in the Guru Checkout. You must also select the type corresponding to the desired sales modality:

  • Product: the one-time sale modality will be applied – a single charge will be made after checkout completion.

  • Subscription: the subscription / recurring model will be applied – recurring charges will be made after the subscription is joined at checkout;

  • E-tickets: the one-time ticket modality will be applied - a single charge will be made after checkout completion.

It is also possible to import products from integrated e-commerce platforms to Guru. After importing, you can change or include new information in the product registration.

Once the product is created, it is not possible to change the type or the linked payment processor.

Variants

If there are different options for your product, such as size, color, or plan modality (monthly, annual, etc.), you must register the variant as another product (with a different code).

In some cases, it is possible to add the variant as an offer of an existing product (e.g., quantity of items). There are several benefits to configuring variants correctly: consult the material on recommended practices for creating products and offers to learn more.Sales

Product Offers

To generate the product checkout link, you must add an offer to it. In the offer, you can define pricing, available payment methods, shipping charges and also add order bump (offer of a complementary product). You can create several offers for the same product according to your sales strategy. For example:

  • If you use the strategy of product kit, you can register only one product in Guru containing several offers. Example: "product A" has 3 options available for purchase (1 unit, 3 units or 5 units). In this case, you can register product A containing 3 offers - one for each available option.

  • If you wish to make a seasonal campaign or exclusive such as a Black Friday promotion, you can register a new offer for the existing product containing the promotional price along with the respective conditions or payment methods.

Each offer has a different checkout link. Make sure to disclose to your customers the checkout link corresponding to the desired offer for the product in question. If you sell product kits, remember to disclose the checkout link for each available option.

You can also offer cash payment discount in the offer configuration.

(1) Product sold through External Checkout is automatically added/updated when processing the sale received in Guru. Some registration information may not be available for editing or may be overwritten with each new sale received.
(2) The integration with the payment processor must be previously activated before adding a product.
