- How to interpret costs in the capture funnel of the Leads Captures P.P.C.T. Dashboard?

The costs in the capture funnel of the Leads Captures P.P.C.T. Dashboard should always be interpreted in conjunction with click, lead, and new lead indicators. The invested value is the basis for calculating CPC, CPL, and New CPL, allowing evaluation of whether the budget is generating qualified traffic, efficient conversions, and real growth in the lead base.

By analyzing these metrics in an integrated way, it is possible to understand the financial efficiency of campaigns throughout the capture process, identify which campaigns and traffic sources offer the best cost-benefit, and direct adjustments to optimize investment in lead acquisition.

The combined reading of these metrics indicates whether the adjustment should be made in the ad, segmentation, or capture page. Access the data in the capture funnel section in the Leads Captures P.P.C.T. Dashboard.

– Why can CPL vary between different sources or trackings?

The CPL (Cost per Lead) can vary between sources or trackings because it reflects the efficiency of each channel, campaign, and capture page.

The main reasons for this variation are:

  1. Costs of traffic sources:

    1. each ad platform has different CPC values and auction dynamics, which directly impacts the cost per lead;

  2. Campaign and tracking performance:

    1. distinct ads, audiences, and messages can generate different conversion rates, even within the same source;

  3. Landing page efficiency:

    1. pages with better usability and clearer offers convert more visitors into leads, reducing CPL;

  4. Automatic optimizations (Neural A/B Test):

    1. during the learning phase, traffic can be redistributed among variations, generating temporary CPL differences;

  5. Lead profile (new vs. existing):

    1. sources that impact already registered leads tend to have a lower overall CPL, while new CPLs more accurately reflect the cost of acquiring new contacts.

In the Leads Captures P.P.C.T. Dashboard, the cost per lead (CPL) can be analyzed along with the metrics of the capture funnel, of sources and of trackings.

- When can a high CPL indicate problems in the capture strategy?

A HIGH CPL (Cost per Lead) can indicate bottlenecks in the efficiency of your capture campaigns, whether in traffic, conversion, or strategy profitability.

This scenario is usually related to:

Low conversion of the capture page: indicates that the page or form is not converting visitors into leads well, whether due to an unclear offer, layout, copy, or excessive friction.

  • Actions that can be taken: you can review the page structure, test variations of CTA and layout, for example, and monitor the relationship between clicks and leads to validate the improvement in the conversion rate.

Inefficiency of ads or segmentation: may signal unattractive creatives or misaligned audiences, resulting in expensive and poorly qualified clicks.

  • Actions that can be taken: a possible solution is to pause ads with high CPC and low lead generation and prioritize those that show a better relationship between CPC and CPL, indicating more qualified traffic.

Acquisition cost above expectations: when CPL is much higher than planned, the campaign can become financially unfeasible, impacting the product's margin.

  • Actions that can be taken: in this case, it is possible to adjust the budget, redefine audiences, or review the offer, comparing CPL with sales conversion results to ensure investment sustainability.

Low performance in campaign variations (A/B Test): in comparative tests, a high CPL in one variant indicates lower efficiency and helps identify versions that should be paused.

  • Actions that can be taken: this metric can be used as a criterion to pause less performant versions and concentrate investment on variations with better cost-benefit.

Inferior performance by traffic source: allows identifying channels or acquisition strategies that generate leads with high cost and lower return.

  • Actions that can be taken: you can redistribute investment among sources, reducing budget in channels with higher CPL and scaling those that show better efficiency and volume of new leads.

it is important to monitor CPL continuously, so you can identify bottlenecks in acquisition, adjust campaigns, optimize pages, and direct investment to the sources that truly generate leads with better cost-benefit.

- How to identify bottlenecks in the Capture Funnel based on the displayed indicators?

To identify bottlenecks in your capture funnel from the P.P.C.T. Leads Captured Dashboard, you should analyze the relationship between volume indicators and cost indicators to locate at which stage the lead is being lost or becoming more expensive.

For this, consider in your analysis:

- What is the difference between CPL and New CPL?

The difference between CPL and New CPL lies in the type of lead considered in the calculation.

  • The CPL (Cost per Lead) represents the average cost to generate each lead in the selected period - considering all captured leads, including contacts that already existed in the database and interacted again with tracking;

  • and the New CPL indicates the average cost to acquire new leads - contacts that entered the database for the first time through that source.

This distinction is important because the new CPL shows the real cost of growth of the contact base, while the general CPL helps to evaluate the efficiency of the campaign by also considering re-engagement actions.

For better data visualization and analysis, it is possible to export the spreadsheet of lead sources by clicking the CSV button in the upper right corner of the section.

- How to interpret the cost displayed by traffic source?

The cost indicator in the Sources section of the P.P.C.T. Captured Leads Dashboard represents the total value invested in traffic campaigns for each source(1) (such as Facebook Ads or Google Ads).

Consider the following points to correctly interpret this indicator, such as:

  • Cost data source: automatic import - when ad accounts are integrated with Guru, costs are automatically imported and linked to tracking whenever the ad URL contains a valid P.P.C.T. link - from this match, the system distributes the costs per tracking and automatically calculates metrics such as CPL in the dashboard.

  • Use in efficiency analysis: this indicator is the basis for the automatic calculation of strategic metrics displayed in the same table, such as CPL (Cost per Lead) and CPC (Cost per Click).

With this, the cost indicator allows evaluating the financial efficiency of each traffic source and guiding optimization decisions based on reliable data.

- What is the difference between Sources and Trackings data in P.P.C.T. Captured Leads?

In the P.P.C.T. Captured Leads Dashboard, the sections Sources and Trackings differ in their level of detail and the focus of the analysis on lead origin.

Use the Sources section when you want to:

  • Compare performance across traffic platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Instagram);
  • Evaluate which channels concentrate the highest volume of clicks, leads, and new leads;
  • Analyze the overall efficiency of each source across metrics such as CPL, New CPL, and CPC.

In this section, data is grouped by channel or advertiser, as defined in the P.P.C.T. creation, facilitating consolidated reading by platform.

Use the Trackings section when you want to:

  • Analyze the individual performance of each P.P.C.T. link;
  • Identify which specific campaigns, ads, or variations yield the best results;
  • Compare acquisition journeys within the same source;
  • Optimize links, capture pages, and campaign variations based on detailed data.

In this section, results are displayed by tracking link, allowing each performance to be associated with its respective advertiser and the strategy used.

For this data to be displayed correctly, it is necessary that the P.P.C.T. links are created and active in the campaigns.

For better visualization and data analysis, it is possible to export the spreadsheets of origins and trackings by clicking the CSV button in the upper right corner of each section.

- How is the cost attributed to each tracking?

The cost is attributed to each tracking through the cross-referencing of investment data from ad platforms and the tracking links (P.P.C.T.) configured in the system.

For this, you can connect your advertiser Accounts to Guru, allowing cost import¹ via API. From this integration, the system analyzes the destination URL of the ads and, whenever the URL contains a valid P.P.C.T., the cost of that ad is automatically attributed to the corresponding tracking, allowing the calculation of metrics such as CPL and CPC.

(1) COST attribution does not occur in real time: current day costs are updated, on average, every 2 hours; costs for the last 7 days are consolidated overnight.

Access and learn more about the integration with advertisers in Guru.

For advertisers to be displayed individually, it is necessary that P.P.C.T. links. are created and active. When a sale or lead is not associated with any tracking, the origin is presented as “untracked”.

For the cost to appear correctly in the P.P.C.T. Leads Captures Dashboards, guru needs to be able to identify the P.P.C.T. link directly in the ad URL. When this reading occurs, the cost is attributed to the tracking; otherwise, it remains untracked.

- How can tracking data help optimize ads, creatives, or campaign variations?

The data displayed in the Trackings section of the P.P.C.T. Leads Captures Dashboard allow you to analyze the individual performance of your traffic campaigns, offering a practical view to optimize ads, creatives, and campaign variations.
