Product variables or fields are placeholders that represent and display product attributes in a place outside the product detail. In Guru, a variable can be used as:
-
Placeholder in a message: used to insert personalized content in transactional emails or SMS that you configure.
-
Field mapping to another tool: used to send sales attributes to other tools such as an autoresponder, for example.
Most variable names are self-descriptive, and their nomenclature describes the context and the attribute name. For example: Product -> Name refers to the name of the product registered in Guru.
It is worth remembering that when sending the message or mapping fields, the variable name is replaced by the attribute value which, in the example above, could be Product X.
