Security

The Security is a set of measures that aims to guarantee confidentiality and protection, providing data integrity, preventing and detecting possible digital threats.

Here at Guru, we care about the security of your platform, where it is necessary to enable 2-Factor authentication (2FA) on the first access, and whenever you log into the account, a random code generated in the authenticator will be required.

You can authenticate by email (by default this option will be activated), or by an authentication application. In addition to (2FA), some actions are recommended to bring more security to your account.

We recommend that you authenticate by application (App) and using an authenticator to access your accounts ensures the security of your information and adds an extra layer of protection, making it much more difficult for someone to hack into your accounts, even if they have your password.

Thus, customers can access the platform independently, ensuring the security of your business.

  • Never share access data with other people and should, yes, create a new user for that person;

  • Whenever a user leaves the company, they must remove them immediately from Guru;

  • If a user's password has been shared with someone else, the password must be changed immediately;

  • If other people have access to the same user registration email inbox, to prevent them from using the "password reset" function, also change the email inbox password;

  • Avoid all users being "account administrator" - the correct way is to create roles with specific permissions for each group of users, thus preventing them from having access to more functions than necessary.

The account security protects your data and your company's data, preventing third parties from accessing sensitive information that can cause service interruptions and financial losses.

By protecting your account, you avoid eventual problems that may occur if the rules are not respected. Such as:

  • Leakage of customer data or integration keys (these are risks that the business runs when the recommended actions are not followed);

  • Account hacked and loss of access to important services such as email.
